3/31/2014 4 Comments Spring | Organization Spring has sprung, sorta...according to the calendar it has come at last but I must admit it's still feeling a lot like winter where I am. But with Spring comes new clothes & some cleaning...here is an easy way to make more space in your drawers & actually see what you own (you know, in case you're like me and have a few too many items in your drawers aha!) Ever had that problem where you go to open a drawer and due to it being so packed it opens another drawer with it? No?...well that's awkward...lol! I have this problem once in a while when I get a little lazy with folding and it's quite annoying. I refused to take the time any sooner to fix it but I wanted to find a way to prevent this from happening. And then I found this miracle! This folding technique doesn't take any longer to do and it leaves you with a lot more space in your drawers and the ability to see all your tops at once. I have some before and after shots of my three tops drawers: tank tops, t-shirts & even long sleeves. It's easiest with tees, tanks take up even less space but long sleeves are actually a bit more challenging and you can't fit as many in the drawers. You can see how they look below: The best part is that when you pull out a top, it doesn't all fall apart, and being able to see all your tops at once can be helpful if you tend to bury clothes & forget about them. It doesn't take long at all to do, so long as you don't take forever to fold haha. I may add a few photos of how I did the folding because it's a bit difficult to explain but basically it goes like this: Lay shirt flat on its front Fold in the sleeves using the outer edge of the neck hole as the guide Fold the bottom hem to the top and then fold in half again You will be left with a shirt in the dimensions of ~2-3 inches tall / ~1-2 inches thick (depending on the type of shirt) For me I did all the drawers in one go so it took just less than an hour but I did: 46 tees (18 min) , 59 tanks (20 min), 22 long sleeves (13 min). Three and a half years of retail work definitely paid off haha. Do you do any closet Spring Cleaning? I don't do it every year but a couple years ago I completely redid my closet so I'll leave that video below if you want to make more space in your closet. I'd love to hear what you do or have done ! xo😘 PS Today is officially feeling like spring time which I'm thrilled about 🌱🌻☀️

It's been almost a year, how did that organization go? Were you able to keep up with it? :) I still use this technique & have taught a few people how to do it over the last year to save space!

How has it worked out for you? were you able to stay on top of it over the last year? I still love it & its helped a lot for when I was packing to move and for storing my clothes in a much smaller place while in England!
