6/13/2011 0 Comments Outfit of the DaySo this is kind of a double OOTD because I was unable to upload my last cute outfit but if you are a fan on Facebook (Live Life Your Way) or a friend of mine you will have seen some photos of it! SO that outfit was a super comfy crop top in teal from Urban Planet ($11) and high-waisted front shorts overalls from Stitches ($24). I love this top because it can be worn with anything. It looks great with shorts of many colours, jeans, and could probably be rocked with some PVC leggings if the rest of the outfit was done right. I've even been able to wear it with a white tank underneath for work (where I obviously can't walk around with an exposed stomach). You can wear it off the shoulder or balance it across both or even pull the neckline right up to your throat so its shorter in the front than the back! So its very versatile, which is great so you don't get bored with it. It came in a huge range of colours and I had to resist buying them all. The overalls are something I have been looking for for i swear two years. I have never found a good pair that looked good with my body. So I liked these because they are high-waisted but just on the front, the back is just like regular height shorts. You can wear the straps in a few ways: one strap, two straps or no straps. The straps are adjustable so you can wear no straps and tighten them as much as they go so you don't have straps hanging past your knees. This also helps when you want to just wear one strap you can keep the second as close to your body as possible. You could rock high top sneakers, flip flops, gladiators or even little runners! I wore my brown ankle-height gladiators. Now, onto todays Outfit! Today it is a little cooler than it has been for the last week so I took a page out of my Dad's book and put on a nice polo, nice pants and a belt. :) So I give him full credit since this style is all his haha! So my polo is from iZod in a bright red, the only other time I've put this shirt on is when I first tried it on when I got it last summer. This is the first official wear and its proving to be very comfy. I paired it with my grey skinny jeans from Zara that I bought when I was in Spain a few years ago (oddly enough I'd never been in a Zara's before that even though we have them in Canada!) and put a nice black belt on because I tucked the shirt in. I think it looks very pulled together and the black belt is a good divide between the two colours. It looked good without a belt with the shirt tucked in but I feel the belt completes it. I will have a couple fashion posts coming that are NOT OOTDs so be patient because I have an essay due in a couple days so I may be taking a break from posting!
