5/31/2012 0 Comments OOTD | Chambray All DayHello Fashionistas! Today I decided to be brave and wear a denim (or as the fancy people call it, chambray) shirt with some...you guessed it...denim shorts! I wanted to make sure I didn't blur into a blue mess so I went with a darker wash bottom to help the top pop. I also thing this awesome belt helps to break up the two blues... The belt is actually my Dad's and it says Leo with a lion on it (because thats my dad's zodiac sign). He has a couple lion belts which I love and constantly steal when my outfit needs a pop of something. Its a throw back to my Dad's days in the sixties so it has been loved for a long time. This top I found amongst some of the clothes I had from my grandmother that I went through after she past and it's around my size so it was one of the pieces I kept. Its a great colour because it has this very slight purple-y tone to it and isn't just a light wash denim. I went with the cut offs because they were the darkest shorts I have in a longer length and I think the distress in them adds to the outfit. Shoes are just my floral flats that I've had for years that my mom brought back from the States and I added a bit more colour with my Arm Party of the Day (APOTD) is my rosegold watch, my LOVE friendship bracelet, a gold braid bracelet & a gold cuff I wore higher up on my sleeve/arm. I'm not wearing any makeup just a bit of lippy from CG called Fabulous Fushia and I have my hair in a dutch braid. {Outfit} Top: Vintage Belt: Vintage 60s Shorts: Beals Shoes: Gifted by my Mom (aka, no clue) Arm Party: Vintage Gold Cuff, NY&CO Rosegold watch & 2 friendship bracelets made by Moi I'd love to know if you guys like the denim on denim look or if you prefer it in just one piece! Also if you guys could HYPE the photo below on my Lookbook profile that would be awesome! :) xo
