Pre-MoveIn EnglandBack Home! I know it's outfit OVERLOAD but I'd rather get these out of the way and be able to start fresh with proper OOTD posts! I was going to make the final outfit here it's own post but didn't have time to do photos before running out for dinner with a friend! I realize just how much I move between the two extremes in my clothing....I will get really dressed up when going out for an event, or I'm super casual. I've been trying to develop my style to have more of a middle ground. I'm not someone who cares a whole lot about what people think of what I wear, having said that if I know that I'm spending the day at the mall I'll want to look cute but in an outfit function enough that I can nip in/out of change rooms without wanting to shoot myself in the head. I like compliments just as much as the next girl! aha
I think I've been trying to dress up my style for a little while now moving from very casual in high school (though, we had uniforms) and through university to professional business wear as a teacher (but even then with casual days I can be more business casual) with not a whole lot in between. Sometimes I feel as though I'm not "being me" if I'm trying to be "casual chic" as I like to call it, but it's something that takes time and I'm still trying to make the balance work for me. So it's ok to change your style and taste in clothes. I will always gravitate to graphic tees, plain tank tops and yoga pants, but now I try to match it up with a button up, or a blazer...yoga pants will always be yoga pants aha! You can bet if I'm just chilling at home that I'm something comfy! I would love to know how you define (or don't define) your style, and if like me, you range from one extreme to another! xo
