I finally got to swatch my Urban Decay Vice Palette than I won from the fabulous ladies at EleventhGorgeous on YouTube on New Years. One of the shadows exploded in transport which delayed me swatching it. I have a video on how to fix broken shadows which I'll link for you below! There are twenty shades in this palette with a variety of finishes (matte, satin & shimmer) and it comes with a double ended brush. There is a great range of colour in the palette with some neutral softer shades and some very bright and bold colours. This palette has all new shades with UD's new formulation which gives every shade its velvety texture, rich colour, serious staying power, and blendability. I have the swatches in natural light and flash for each row as well as a description of each shade. L-R: Desperation, Muse, Jagged, Blitz, Penny Lane L-R: Junkie, Chaos, Occupy, Unhinged, Black Market L-R: Provocateur, Rapture, Vice, Noise, Armor L-R: Nevermind, Echo Beach, Anonymous, Freebird, Laced There was great pay off with all of these colours, I didn't have to work extremely hard to swatch any of them. There are only a few matte colours and I found Chaos & Anonymous were a bit chalky and powdery but still easy enough to work with. Jagged had a very chunky glitter that was rough while swatching and had fall out. I'm a little worried about using it in a look for fear it will end up all over my cheeks. I do wish there were more matte colours within the palette but there are some really great colours. Shades with their description:
I've used some of these colours in my Valentine's Day look which I've included below as well as the video in which I show you how to fix a broken shadow.
