So I won this palette from Promise Phan a few weeks ago and I must say I think it's great! This is my first impression and swatch post but I will be posting looks and tutorials with this palette soon. Overall, totally recommend for you pick up! {Overview} Price: $9.95 (on sale; originally $19.95) Mirror included 30 eyeshadows Magnetic closure This is the description made by BH Cosmetics on their website: "Wild and exotic colors await you inside the Take me to Brazil, 30 Color Eyeshadow Palette! This fantastic collection of shimmer, satin and matte eyeshadows is inspired by the outrageous Brazilian parade, Carnival! Get ready to Samba with this highly pigmented rainbow of colors in reds, pinks, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, and purples. Featuring 2 extra-large bonus eyeshadows in iridescent white and matte black that will help you add glow and mystery to your finished look!" I think it has a great range of colours that can be used for a variety of looks. Clearly there are no neutral colours but you aren't getting a "Brazil" themed palette for a neutral look aha. I like the addition of the white and black in the palette because these can be used to brighten or darken the various looks. You can click the first photo below to go to the site! All swatches: natural light, flash & white balanced. The first two rows - red and orange: Third row - yellows with white & black Fourth and fifth row - greens and teals Sixth and seventh row - blues and purples This palette overall swatched really well, I have no primer or base under them to get the truest pigmentation idea. I did have a bit of an issue with some of the shimmer shadows that are the bottom colour of each row but once I passed the first layer or so of each pan I got a bit more colour payoff. It wasn't every shimmer colour and with packing the colour on the payoff was nice. I think they have a great range of colours in this palette and as you know I own the 1st & 2nd Edition of the 120 palettes so I know the range that BH has put out. The only colours that didn't wow me were the yellows, they seem too close in shade and the range of finishes does separate them but not enough for me. I think the purples and teals were my favourite colour ranges in this palette and I look forward to using all of these colours in future tutorials and looks!
Do you own this palette or any of BH's other palettes? I'd love to know which! I know ItsJudyTime & ThatsHeart just released their palettes with BH Cosmetics which is super awesome! I won't be purchasing them just because the colours in them are similar to what I already have. But they are a great price if you are interested! xo
