So this palette isn't the latest products off the shelves and it's been in PR posts since end of 2014, but it took me about a year and a half to get it, but I love it. I wanted to treat myself to this palette when it first came out and it was still a limited edition product; well thank God they made it permanent so I could finally get my hands on it.
The Tartelette palette is an all matte range of colours going from soft neutral, to pink/mauve/plum and browns with one black. The colour range is great, they also curated a few looks with each row of colours, but of course you can mix and match as you please.
The palette retails for $60 CAD which for me is generally more than I'm willing to drop on a single product, granted there are 12 shades, which means each shadow is $5. They are smooth when swatched and when applied on the lid which is nice; I can't stand chalky shadows or crumbly ones. I've swatched all 12 shadows with and without flash so that you can see how they show up on paler skin (NW15-ish). The palette feature's the brands signature Amazonian clay-inflused, long-wear shadows. The shades are a mix of liner, lid and crease colours and the palette also comes with a step-by-step guide for creating a variety of looks that range from daytime to a night out!
Free Spirit, Force of Nature, Dreamer, Multi-tasker
Caregiver, Natural Beauty, Best Friend, Bombshell
Super Mom, Wanderer, Power Player, Fashionista
If you have this palette or the newer In Bloom version, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! Also, have you ever lusted over a palette for ages and finally caved to get it? Or regretted never getting it? I'm the worst for wanting thing but not wanting to spend the money on them, what can I say...I love beauty but I'm scared to spend money on it aha.
I've owned the palette for just shy of a year and I feel like there are a few staple shades in here that I go to a LOT. So I'd love to know which of the shades you like best or feel you'd get the most use out of. For me, Force of Nature, Wanderer, Natural Beauty, Dreamer and Best Friend are probably my go to shades.
