How to Use
The CreaClip product comes with two sizes clips and each has their own purpose. There is a shorter clip that is used mostly for bang trims or short hair, but if your hair is thin like mine you can us this clip for blunt length cuts if you don't have or don't want layers.
The longer clip is used for both length cuts as well as adding layers to your hair. It can be used both in the "smiley" way or the "frowning" way depending on what you are using it for. If you wanted to do a simple length cut all you have to do is gather the hair forwards over your shoulders and clip it on with it "frowning" (this will give you some face framing layers but not layers throughout your hair) or if you have someone to help you keep your hair in the back and clip it on in "smiling" for a nice U shape cut.
For layers there are a few different ways to utilize it depending on your skill and flexibility. The first and easier way is to cut the length you want and then section off from ear to ear (across the top of your head) and bring this hair forward, clipping it in a "frown". This will make sure that when you cut, the pieces from the top will be shorter than the pieces at the sides. This adds nice face framing layers. Another way, that is suggested on the packaging is to section off the top in a 'mohawk' position and clip it "frowning" and trim off the top.

Review
I really like the CreaClips, I only need to use the small one but I am very impressed. First of all the lock is very sturdy, so you don't have to be worried that it is going to pop open and you are going to end up with wonky looking hair. Another great thing is the level adjusts easily and is sturdy, but doesn't move by itself (which would cause great problems). The teeth on the clip really does a good job at distributing your hair and brushing through it, I didn't have any issues with it but I did make sure not to put too much hair in one spot, I tried to make my hair as flat as I could so that the teeth would be optimized. I didn't opt to add layers to my hair this time because I didn't want to cut my hair any shorter than it already was but in the future if I do I will add to this post about using the larger clip.
Overall I think this is a great product and would definitely recommend it to others!
