5/23/2013 1 Comment Makeup | Spring/Summer Trends Here are some of the trends I've been hearing about for Spring/Summer. There are more than what I've listed but I think these are definitely some of the biggest and ones you can utilize more in everyday settings (though admittedly, not all aha). If you'd like to see me recreate any of these trends in a video or post just comment below & let me know! I have six categories that these trends fall under and there is some overlap but it's the best I can do aha! 1. Colour 2. Skin 3. Brows 4. Lips 5. 3D 6. Eyes For colour the four trends that are very prominent are: pink, brown, blue & neon. Pink is quite popular because it is very versatile, it can be worn on the eyes, face and lips and the same goes for brown (or bronze if you prefer). Blue is reserved for the eyes only but neon can be used on the eyes and lips. I did a blue look for New Years Eve so I will link that video below as well! For skin the two trends I was seeing are the use of BB creams for minimal coverage but healthy look, and matte skin. Some were also pointing out velvet skin without being dewy. The next trend that is wildly popular, although it is most definitely not my thing, is bold brows. I just do not like them, they suit some people really well (and if you are one of these people then all the power to you!) but I find sometimes people go over the top but of course, to each their own! My brows used to be thicker but I don't think that will ever happen again (though, not for lack of trying...). Lips also had a few colours and styles that were trending: nude and pink as well as bright colours and matte colours. I have yet to find a good nude shade for my skin tone so if you are on the fairer side and have a recommendation PLEASE let me know in the comments! I've been on the hunt and so far come up with pretty much nothing -__- Pinks are always great for Spring & Summer and of course brights are always welcome! I tend to wear them all year round because it just makes things more cheery. As for matte colours, I don't have many (in fact I think I only have one) but I do like the look of matte lips and would be interesting in trying out more matte shades. 3D was an interesting trend on the runways for Spring/Summer and IMO is not something you can rock every day aha. There was glitter, rhinestones & more; I just don't see that being very comfortable for the office or even the club for that matter. So this is something I will be passing on for sure but if you've seen any cool 3D makeup feel free to send me a pic either on Twitter, or Facebook or tag me on Instagram! Finally, we come to eyes. Eyes were a HUGE focus for makeup trends and there were so many different things going on, some of which I totally love! The first is graphic liner (I've already been asked to do a video/look with graphic liner) and I've seen some pretty cool looks with this. The next is coloured liner; I used to love coloured liner & wear it all the time when I was younger but haven't done much with it in recent years. Jewelled eyes was a big trend and this ties in with the 3D idea. Long lashes were a hot look, moving away from spider lashes (or "loading-on-too-much-mascara-syndrome") which I'm grateful for. And the last two I'm loving!! They are a focus on the lower lash line and smouldering eyes. Ahh! I think these two are great and can be done in so many different ways. I hope you enjoyed that little trends post! Like I said if you are interested in seeing me create looks with any of these trends (minus the 3D one I don't fancy that haha) just let me know below! xo

Another good blog idea Igor. I think only a couple people started the trend and it has growing into a dumb fashion style.
