My friend Vicky (whom you've seen before in my Bean Boozled Challenge) gave me two MUFE Aqua Creams (nos. 11 + 12) and Inglots' Sprint Superstar #93 shadow. Haven't really had a chance to play around with the aqua creams but I'm excited to try them, along with the shadow.
My friend Gillianne, had a small pile of makeup for me when she found out what I do here on the beautiful internet aha. She gave me three Clinique products, Colour Surge Quad, Neutral Territory Duo/Sunset Glow Blush & New Clover Blush as well as the NARS Day and Night Palette. She also gave me a handful of MAC products, including the taupe brow pencil, some bottom lashes (#40) and a gold shadow called Golden Crown.
She also gave me three Ulta eye crayons (that I've been loving), in Birthday Girl, Rich & Black Plum. She's not big on glosses so she passed along an iridescent lip gloss from Too Faced called Sparkles Glamour Gloss, an ELF gloss and an Estee Lauder duo ended Pure Colour gloss & Sumptuous mascara.
Now I've been busy picking up a few things for myself as well, some for a purpose, others because they were on sale or I had gift cards. Can someone explain to me why it is that when you have a giftcard you're willing to drop money like crazy at a place but with your own money you won't go near it?! Just me?...okay aha
So my first top off was NYX & Rexall, at NYX I picked up their Above & Beyond yellow concealer, white liquid liner & a coral mascara. They have a number of coloured mascaras and I want so many of them, so they will slowly creep into my collection... Then I picked up Indigo Blue & Turquoise liners from Wet n Wild because Rexall was clearing them out and they are fun colours.
My two gift cards from Christmas were to Sephora and The Bay (which obviously means MAC...come on now...) so I picked up the Tarte Tartelette Palette and I'm IN LOVE WITH IT. I had enough on the MAC card to get 3 lipsticks (with a few of my own $$ chipped in to cover the last one) but I could not figure out what colours I wanted, despite looking up swatches for an hour before hand. I swatched a good 20+ colours and left with Twig. Couldn't figure out what my other two colours would be. I'm just scared that I'll end up getting a colour that's too close to something I already have so I need a mobile swatch book...I smell a DIY...haha!
If you have any MAC recommendations for lipsticks please let me know!
