Fashion Show Makeup

Picture
So as many of you know I was an exec for a charity fashion and dance show back in March and I also organized the makeup for the show. I did makeup along with some freelancers & MUA students and I planned out the three looks we were doing, one for dancers, one for models and one look for girls who did both. Here are the looks!

For the dancers, I went with a very classic look, black smokey eye and red lips. I love this look, the makeup is quite dramatic in these photos because it is of course, stage makeup and has to be seen from far away and under bright as hell lights so I wouldn't take it as high when I wear it for another event, although I'm considering it ;)
For the models, I went with a golden/bronze neutral smokey eye with nude/pink lips and it reminds me a bit of a one of my Halloween Tutorials I filmed this past October. I loved this look, and this is a look I have photos for on some of the models, I didn't get looks of the dancer makeup I did because we were rushed for time and finally...
For the girls who were in both types of scenes we wore a purple smokey eye because purple was one of our colours for the show this year and it was a great POP. Only a few girls had this look and for myself, the look transformed over each of the nights because it was fun to play around with. I unfortunately do not have very good photos of the purple look (trés sad) but I'll show you what I've got!
If you guys are interested in a tutorial for any of these looks just let me know and I'll be more than willing to recreate them and show you what I used.

This was a lot of fun for me because I've never really done makeup for others before, I only usually do it on myself. I would love to do freelance when I have the time and build up my kit but I wouldn't really know where to start! I would love to work with more of my friends for lets say..."practice" because I was dealing with so many different eye shapes and having to adapt the look for each person was fun (and at some times slightly frustrating haha).
I have one more makeup look to share with you guys in an upcoming post from a Banquet I attended last week that was very intense. Had a lot of compliments from it and requests for tutorials so hopefully I'll do a tutorial if more of you want it!
