1/7/2013 0 Comments Mani Monday | 01/07/13Weeee! First Manicure of 2013 *happy dance* I hope you all had a great New Year. I'm going to be doing things a little bit differently with my Mani Monday posts and any NOTD posts this year... I will post the photos and products as always but I will update the post later with a full review. I'm trying to improve on the reviews and give you as much information as possible so I can't do that without wearing the look first. So I'm going to try to post Mani Mondays as well as a NOTD later on in the week when I want to change my polish; when I do that I will come back to the previous post and fill in the review! I follow a few Nail Blogs myself so I have an idea about how I will format the reviews but if you have ANY suggestions leave them below in a comment OR you can post them on my Facebook, Twitter or Instagram! Now onto today's girly manicure! OPI Bubble Bath & Gap Shimmer Pink OPI Bubble Bath with Flash (above) & Artificial Light (below) GAP Inc Shimmer Pink with Flash (above) & Artificial Light (below) Photos with Flash Photos with Artificial Light Daylight (looks more peach/nude than pink here) On each nail I have PRO.FX Strengthener, 3 coats of Bubble Bath, the tips are GAP Inc Shimmer Pink & I topped it off with Julep Top Coat. Painted about 1/3 of my nail with the shimmer and then went over the top again almost as a french manicure to give it a slight gradient. What do/did you have as your first manicure of 2013? I'd love to know xo Notes Each nail has: 1 coat PRO-FX nail strengthener (base) 3 coats of OPI Bubble Bath 1/3 of the nail in glitter and then again with french tip 1 coat of Julep Top Coat I didn't experience much chipping, after a couple days of typing and normal wear and tear I only have one small chip (which is saying a lot, usually my nails chip quite easily). This may be because of all the layers at my tips but regardless, I'm impressed. Review Time! *I will only be covering OPI Bubble Bath in this review* Name: OPI Bubble Bath Amount: 15 mL (0.5 fl. oz.) Colour Like I said before this is definitely a girly/feminine shade, it's a very light pink colour. It is sheer so I needed three coats to make it opaque. There was some visible nail line (VNL) when I was done but it wasn't extremely noticeable. This is a great office colour if you can't do bright colours or you just aren't into them aha. I don't do light shades often, nor do I do pink often so to combine both and like it was interesting to me. I think it's a great colour. Finish To me this is a creme polish but I have heard people call it a jelly because it does show a VNL and the look of it is sheer. Application & Formula I found it a bit streaky when I was applying but when it tried it wasn't noticeable so thats a bonus! The first coat was very streaky as was the second but the third sealed it off nicely. Final Thought 4/5
