Julep | The Boudoir Collection

     The other day I received my January Julep Box and this months Collection is Boudoir themed...I loved the whole collection and wish I could have upgraded to get all the polishes! But I'm happy with the three I got, now onto the swatches!

The Polishes & their descriptions:

Hope 
Finish: Silk/Satin 
Stark white satin

Farrah 
Finish: Silk/Satin
Lilac silk

Annemarie 
Finish: Crème 
Warm cocoa crème

     When I first saw Hope I was a little blah about it because I thought that it was just a regular white polish but then as I was applying it I saw that it was a satin finish which for most people means that it is a matte polish (or at least for the most part). So when I saw it drying I was actually excited for it. I'm also wondering how well it would be as a base for other colours or water marbled designs. 
     When I saw the other two colours I knew right away that I was going to like them because Annemarie is a dark neutral and Farrah is a shimmery purple, who could dislike that?! I was also quite happy with the finish of Farrah which allows for the shimmer but more matte finish. Annemarie is a great neutral colour for the cooler months if you want a polish it fit the season. I appreciate that this colour doesn't make my skin tone look dead or wonky. This colour actually went on perfectly with just one coat but for continuity's sake I used two coats for all the swatches. 
     Overall, this was definitely a hit so maybe I'll pick up a couple of the metallic inspired shades in this collection & the sage green shade. For more of this collection check out julep.com !
