Julep | June It Girl Box

     I'm alive! I know I've been MIA as of late, I swear I have some good reasons but to play a bit of catch up I'm going to share with you my June Julep box! Video below as always, be sure to subscribe to my channel & let me know what you'd like to see more of xo

Lillian: Alabaster pink crème 
Polly: Vibrant azalea shimmer
Sam: Limeade crème

 If you've been following my Julep box videos over the last few months I've been finding the colours similar to polishes I already own, whether they are from Julep or other brands and I've been so busy that I forget to look at the preview and decide whether or not I'm going to skip the month (fail...I know). This month would have been a skip for me because I have a NYX polish that looks almost identical to Sam and a Maybelline polish that is probably a 99% dupe for Polly. As for Lillian, I'm sick of light pinks....I laid out all my Julep pinks recently and just shook my head because some of them are SO SIMILAR and I'm not the biggest fan of light pink nails. They are super office appropriate for those who aren't allowed to wear brights to work, etc. but a) I don't have that limitation and b) I need to be in a mood to wear that colour and that mood doesn't come around often ahah.

     I applied two coats of each colour and I had a Sally Hansen Green Tea/Bamboo strengthening base on my nails already. Polly could do with a third coat because I have visible nail line, especially in the light; Sam looked pretty good and Lillian could potentially be a bit streaky with two coats, so you may have to do three if you don't get a great application after two.

I'm going to challenge myself to try out more colours, because I own SOO MANY polishes that I've never actually worn...so this summer I will make a dent in the colours I haven't worn, *nods* mhmmm!
