Recap | January 2015

I thought that I would continue this series into 2015 because I enjoyed writing it last year. For my new readers, at the end of every month I share with you what I was up to over the course of the month as well as all videos/posts that I put up. So here's to another year! xo

This month was not terribly exciting...at all... I had a fun night out for NYE with a mate from my uni days and a bunch of her friends. Hit up a local club and ended the night watching Michael McIntyre stand up (which you HAVE TO WATCH). I was in stitches watching two of his shows and I was afraid it would be too much "British" Humour but my friend was dying too so I know it goes beyond that aha.
On the job front, I've applied to one of the local school boards (not the one I'd like) and it's just a waiting game to be called for it. The one I want I have a slight hang up for which I'm working on. But I've found a tutoring job just down the street from me which is great and I'll be picking up some shifts for the birthday parties/tutoring I did back in the summer right across from my house (score!). So hoping that picks up, I've also been in touch with another company that's just starting up so that's a bit touch/go but I'll take whatever I can get!
Haven't really seen many friends since coming home, just been trying to focus on Blog/YouTube and work this month. Did spend some time with my aunt/uncle which was nice - spent hours just sitting around the table talking and reminiscing. When I was little I used to dread that kind of night, but now I enjoy it so much. Just sitting there listening to the stories is just nice :) also had a nice steak dinner which I haven't had in AGES! (If you didn't know, I loooooooove steak. My favourite meal is probably still medium rare steak & caesar salad aha). I did get to reconnect with an old friend of mine who I've known for almost 10 years and reminisced all the good times in high school and what we've been up to in recent years. Now that I'm home permanently I expect we will just pick up where we left off. He was my best guy friend for years and has quickly returned to that top spot.
Other than that nothing excited to report back this month other than I'm happy everyone's been enjoying my giveaways and I've had some more interactions with people on my channel and social media! I did almost start a new series "SSGB" or Saturday Series for Guest Bloggers, where every Saturday I feature a fellow blogger on the four topics of my blog: beauty/makeup, hair, fashion & nails.
