So there are some days you just can't make it to the gym to do weights, cardio, or swim. But you should do some workouts that are 'at-home' friendly. There are so many exercises that DON'T need equipment and all that you need is your own body weight. A yoga mat is something I think everyone should have (no its not just for yoga class!) I have a super bright orange one that I just keep rolled up by my bed. Some companies have really cool travel cases for their mats if you do use it outside your house for classes. So this morning I decided I needed to get some exercise today and I had to do it at home because I had no way of getting to my gym. So I rolled out my mat, grabbed my stability ball and got cracking! First thing you need to do is STRETCH. It is super important to do it! And some people just do not understand that. So I stretch for a few minutes, head to toe, and I just do stretches that my rugby team used to go through before our games (if you guys want to see what my stretches are just comment below or email me and I can do a little video on it). After that I did some crunches with the stability ball, then I did a V ab exercise, the superman pose, plank, plank with leg lifts, squats, and leg lifts. Even after just a few minutes and a couple sets of short reps you body really feels it. So those are great to do on days off from the gym or when you can't make it.
