Hello Lovelies! As some of you know if you watch my videos or know me personally, I finished writing my third year finals last Tuesday and I was SO HAPPY. The next day I had a lunch date with two of my girls and after eating, we roamed around the mall for a bit before going our separate ways. But of course not before making some damage (ahahaha!). I found some great deals and figured that I'd get just a few things and believe me if I had my way and was rolling in money I would have got a heck of a lot more because there was so much that I put down and turned a blind eye to. The first store that we went to was Aldo Accessories and they had a 2-for-1 special on some jewellery so of course that is where we decided to look. I was on the hunt for some rose gold accessories to wear with my rose gold watch that I bought from NY&CO back in December, while in Florida. Although it is a popular item I haven't really had much luck finding things I would wear...and then...TADA! It jumped out at me and I was like, "YES YES IT'S MINE!" I bought this amazing choker necklace that also has a tribal vibe so two trends in one -- boo yah! go me -- and it has a long enough chain that you can play around with its length depending on what top you are wearing. The necklace was only about $12 so I figured I may as well find something else to get the deal. This was a bit harder because there weren't many on sale rose gold things (there was this one ring but it did not sit well on my hand). Then my bestie found some bangles that she was deciding between, a pastel set and a bright neon set. I was not much help because I too, loved both. But we decided on getting the pastel set (although it wouldn't surprise me if we both went back for the other). It has gold accent bangles with both a plain and decorative band along with beaded ones in various colours: white, mint, pinky/purple and a light lavender. Each of the beaded bands have a gold decoration on them (can't think of another word to describe it to be honest). But I love them and they will go great with so many outfits and work amazingly for arm candy/stacking (which I'm sure ALL of you and your mother's have heard of). And by themselves they would have been $9 but I got them free because they were cheaper than the necklace.
The next stop was into a shop called Sirens and somehow I managed to walk past the coloured denim and not try any on, for now. We saw some of the sale racks and were all going after the same items. I picked up an awesome Aztec tank top with an open/draped back (for $6) and a light, see-through, loose, striped top which is so comfortable for warmer weather (for $10). That store always has some great items and I could have spent much longer there if only my will power hadn't been so strong! All the girls left after that store and on my way to the bus I couldn't help but stop into another store that always has great sale items and generally good prices, Urban Behaviour. They had some amazing coloured jeans but they were made for girls who don't have any legs (in my humblest opinion). I simply refuse to go up 4-5 pant sizes to get my calves and thighs into them, it just is not a pleasant feeling, no matter how amazing the pants look. But I did manage to find an adorable pair of black shorts. I'm replacing a pair of dressier shorts that are now too big for me and although these shorts aren't as dressy they will definitely be worn quite a bit these coming months. They have a bibbed, 6 button front and have a nautical vibe to me and I love them! They had other colours to choose from but I stayed strong and just got the black (they were $14). That shop is really easy to get side-tracked in because they really do have so many great items! So that is the end of my mini haul and the stories to go along with it, now for the photos!
