Troubled Times

     So, today we got some troubling news about my grandmother. She lives in a nursing home and has had complicated health issues for almost the last ten years. Over that time we have had a few occasions where we thought we were going to lose her. But she always managed to pull through, so I gave her the nickname of Trooper and Super Woman. 

     Today I was at my second summer school lecture and was pulled out of it early because my family was congregating at the nursing home to be with my grandmother. I was there for over 6 hours and for most of it she was responsive and did have a couple little naps but for the last couple of hours she was asleep. 

     It brought most of my family together which was nice so in case anything bad were to happen (knock-on-wood it doesn't) they would feel some closure. I'm hoping nothing drastic happens because it will be her 90th birthday on the 21st and we have a huge birthday bash planned and it would be a shame if she passed away before we could celebrate.
